Jesus Hugs

Have you ever had a “Jesus hug”,

Do you know what one feels like?

If you’ve never had a “Jesus hug”,

I pray one day you might.

A “Jesus hug” is different,

As far as hugging goes;

It’s a little taste of Heaven,

Here on earth below.

Only those who love the Lord,

Can give a “Jesus Hug”;

It conveys God’s grace and mercy,

And unconditional love.

Those who give out “Jesus hugs”

Always seem to somehow know

Just when you’re in need of one

To make your spirit glow.

And if you ever need one

I hope that I will see,

So I can give you a “Jesus hug”;

Just like someone did for me.

She Looks Up To Me

She looks up to me, Lord,

So I look up to You;

This precious child is watching

All I say and do.

May all my words and deeds

To Your Holy Word be true;

May all she sees in me

Be a clear reflection of You.

She means the world to me,

And I know You love her too;

She looks up to me, Lord,

So I look up to You.

The Love of God

There are lessons I have learned

Along life’s weary way;

And there are many other things

He’s teaching me each day.

But something that still puzzles me,

Which I’ll never understand,

Is why the One who set the stars in place

Chose to come to earth as man.

And still a greater mystery

That I will never solve,

Is why He chose to die for us,

In agony, on a cross.

And why on earth did He choose me

To be included in His plan?

I’m so thankful for the love of God,

But I will never understand.

His Many Promises

For many reasons I can trust Him

And say He’s everything to me;

But by far the greatest reason

Is that His promises He keeps.

He keeps His promises, His many promises,

His many promises to me;

I take comfort in the knowledge

That His promises He keeps.

He’ll never leave me or forsake me,

He’ll stay close, as from the start;

And I can stand upon His promise

To dwell forever in my heart.

He keeps His promises, His many promises,

His many promises to me;

I have a blessed peace in knowing

That His promises He keeps.
